

MUSCAT: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS), represented by the Training and Qualification Section at the Human Resources Department, organised a training program titled "Artificial Intelligence in Accounting and Financial Auditing" at City Seasons Hotel, with the participation of staff from the Finance Department and the Internal Audit Department.
The programme aims to introduce participants to the latest AI applications in accounting and financial auditing, highlighting their role in improving financial processes, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting digital transformation within the workplace.
The training covers key topics including AI fundamentals, digital transformation in financial operations, AI applications in accounting and auditing, and the future of AI in the financial sector. It also explores practical applications that support financial automation, data analysis, and more effective decision-making.
Jasim bin Mohammed al Qaydi, Senior Training Officer at the University's Training and Qualification Section, said the programme reflects UTAS's commitment to developing human capital and equipping employees with the knowledge and skills needed to leverage emerging technologies. He added that the initiative aligns with global trends in AI adoption and supports the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 by promoting innovation and institutional excellence.
