

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will pay an official visit to the friendly Republic of France on Sunday, June 28, 2026, according to a statement issued by the Diwan of Royal Court on Thursday.
The visit, which comes in response to an invitation from French President Emmanuel Macron, will take place from June 28 to 29.
The Diwan of Royal Court said the visit reflects the strong bonds of friendship between the Sultanate of Oman and France and aims to further enhance existing cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
The visit will also provide an opportunity to explore ways to develop bilateral ties in line with the interests and aspirations of both countries, while continuing consultation and coordination between the two leaderships on various regional and international developments.
His Majesty the Sultan will be accompanied by a high-level official delegation comprising HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority; Anwar bin Hilal al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; and Ahmed bin Mohammed al Araimi, Oman’s Ambassador to France.
