Tehran: Iranian media reported several explosions on Wednesday along Iran's southern coast near the Strait of Hormuz, after Washington announced strikes in response to an attack that downed a US helicopter.
Blasts rang out in several locations in Hormozgan province, including on Qeshm Island and along the coast near the strait, local media said, with some reporting the presence of US fighter jets.
