SUHAR: Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in the Al Batinah North Governorate, represented by the Food Security Committee, organised a seminar on Tuesday titled "From Farm to Factory" under the slogan "A Sustainable Food Future." The event was held under the auspices of Dr Ahmed bin Nasser al Bakri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources for Agriculture.

Dr Ali bin Mohammed al Hamdi, Chairman of the Food Security Committee at the Chamber’s branch in Al Batinah North, stated that the seminar stems from the committee's keenness to enhance integration between the agricultural and industrial sectors.

It seeks to build sustainable partnerships between farmers and national factories in a manner that supports the food security system. He pointed out the importance of enhancing direct communication between producers and manufacturers, encouraging reliance on local products, and developing supply chains to achieve sustainability and efficiency. - ONA
