MUSCAT: ISG International hosted the second edition of its TED-Ed event under the theme 'Unfold... The Power Within Ideas', bringing together students, educators and guests for an inspiring evening of thought-provoking talks and youthful expression.
The much-anticipated event celebrated the power of student voice, as young speakers took to the stage with confidence, sharing ideas aimed at sparking conversations and creating meaningful change.
The event highlighted ISG International’s commitment to nurturing confident communicators, critical thinkers and future changemakers. Students impressed the audience with speeches that reflected originality, courage and thoughtful perspectives on issues relevant to their generation.
The evening’s chief guest, Bipin Kuriakose, a 2019 TEDx speaker, bestselling author and Distinguished Toastmaster, delivered an inspiring address encouraging students to trust the strength of their ideas. Widely recognised across the GCC for his excellence in public speaking, Bipin spoke about the importance of authentic expression and the impact of powerful communication.
The event was also graced by Nisham Rayees, broadcaster at Oman FM, public speaker and Patron of TED-Ed Students Talk at ISG International. A strong advocate for youth empowerment and meaningful dialogue, she commended the students for stepping forward with confidence and using their voices to inspire others.
Guided by mentors and supported by the school’s English Department faculty, participating students underwent training that extended beyond public speaking to include critical thinking, empathy and self-discovery.
More than a platform for eloquence, the TED-Ed evening reflected the transformative power of ideas, with each presentation demonstrating the courage to question, dream and inspire change.
As the curtains came down on another successful edition, the message of the evening remained clear — when young minds are empowered to speak, ideas can shape the future.
Students who captivated the audience with their presentations included Grace Thomas Vacha, Alekya Reddy Gopu, Nuhaa Noorain, Prisha Agarwal, Gunit Siddharth Chaturvedi, Farhan Tanveer Shaik, Jocelyne Shibu Mathew, Akshay Vijayachandran, Guruvansh Singh Bhandari, Zuleikha Mustafa Zalotrawala, Jaden Lazarus Stephen, Samiksha Muthukrishnan and Hrithik Sunilkumar.
