

Muscat: The wilayats of Al Suwaiq and Barka recorded the highest temperatures in the Sultanate of Oman at 48°C as of 12:21 pm on May 31, 2026, according to data issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
Other high temperatures recorded across the Sultanate of Oman included 47°C in Khabourah, Wadi Al Maawil, Bausher, Seeb and Al Amerat.
The CAA data also showed temperatures of 45°C in Muscat International Airport, Al Rustaq and Nakhal, while Sohar recorded 44°C and Muscat city registered 43°C at the time of publication.
