MUSCAT: The Indian School Wadi Kabir (ISWK) teams delivered an exceptional performance at the recently held CBSE Oman Clusters 2026–27 Basketball and Handball Tournament.
ISWK successfully hosted the basketball tournament and achieved remarkable success across various age categories, under the leadership of coach Shifas PB.
In Basketball, the ISWK Under-19 girls team emerged as champions to lift the trophy, continuing their winning momentum. The ISWK Under-14 and Under-17 girls teams secured silver medals with commendable performances throughout the tournament.
The ISWK boys basketball teams also showcased outstanding teamwork and determination, with the Under-17 and Under-19 teams securing bronze medals.
In handball, held at Indian School Seeb, the ISWK Under-17 Girls team emerged victorious and lifted the championship trophy with a dominant performance, continuing their winning streak. The Under-19 girls team added another feather to the school’s cap by winning the bronze medal, while the Under-14 boys team also secured bronze in their category.
The coach, a national player who represented India, commented that the achievements of the ISWK teams reflect the dedication, discipline, and hard work of the players, along with the committed guidance and training.
The entire ISWK community congratulated the teams for bringing laurels to the school and making the institution proud at the CBSE Oman clusters tournament. The championship-winning teams have now qualified to represent Oman at the forthcoming CBSE national tournaments to be held in India during the months of September and October.
