MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will perform the Eid Al Adha prayer at the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in the Wilayat of Sohar, Governorate of North Al Batinah, the Diwan of Royal Court announced on Monday.

In a statement issued today, the Diwan of Royal Court said: “With the advent of the blessed Eid Al Adha, the season of the greatest pilgrimage for the year 1447 AH, and the joy of Muslims upon its arrival, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will, with the will and guidance of Allah the Almighty, perform the Eid Al Adha prayer at the Sultan Qaboos Mosque in the Wilayat of Sohar in the Governorate of North Al Batinah.

"His Majesty the Sultan will perform the prayer alongside several of Their Highnesses, members of the Royal Family, ministers, advisors, commanders of the Sultan's Armed Forces and military and security apparatuses, members of the State Council and Shura Council, undersecretaries, walis, chief executive officers, and a gathering of sheikhs and citizens."

On this blessed occasion, the Diwan of Royal Court expressed its utmost honor in raising its most sincere congratulations and best wishes to His Majesty the Sultan.

The Diwan prayed to Allah the Almighty to protect His Majesty, grant him continued good health, wellness, and a long life, and to crown his efforts with success. The Diwan also prayed that this auspicious occasion and similar occasions return to His Majesty, the loyal Omani people, and the entire Islamic nation with glory, prosperity, and blessings.
