MUSCAT: Seeb were officially crowned Jindal League champions for the 2025/2026 season after ending the campaign on 67 points, while Al Shabab secured second place on 54 points and Al Nasr completed the podium in third on 53 points. At the other end, Al Rustaq and Al Khabourah were relegated, while Al Musannah and Fanja earned promotion to next season’s top flight.
The title celebrations took place after Seeb’s final-round match against Ibri at Seeb Stadium, in a closing ceremony organised by the Oman Football Association (OFA) under the auspices of HH Sayyid Dr Fahd bin Al Julanda al Said, Vice-Chancellor of SQU.
Seeb closed their season with a resounding 7-1 win over Ibri. Abdulmajid al Balushi opened the scoring from the penalty spot, Nasser al Rawahi struck five times and Omar al Maliki also found the net, while Bisan scored Ibri’s only goal. The result confirmed Seeb in first place with 67 points, while Ibri finished 12th on 23 points and survived.
Reflecting on the title-winning campaign, star forward Nasser al Rawahi said Seeb had wrapped up the league three rounds earlier, but that did not affect the team’s mentality. “Winning the title with three rounds to spare did not make us lose our hunger or relax. We approached every match with a winning mentality,” he said, while also thanking his team-mates and the supporters for the celebrations. Al Rawahi added that the focus now turns to the future, saying the title-winning season was “a page we now close as we look ahead.”
Seeb captain Eid al Farsi said the club’s ambitions remain greater despite ending the season with the league title. Looking ahead to the team’s participation in the AFC Champions League Two, he stressed that Seeb are determined to compete strongly on the continental stage as well. He said the management is fully aware that next season will bring even bigger challenges, but insisted the club will continue to fight for all titles.
