SEOUL: Asyad Shipping has launched its new giant crude oil tanker 'Bidbid', marking the entry of one of four major vessels set to join its expanding fleet. The move underscores the company’s commitment to operational excellence, strengthening its global maritime footprint and advancing its long-term growth strategy in international energy transportation.

The vessel was officially launched at a ceremony attended by Engineer Abdulrahman bin Salim al Hatmi, CEO of Asyad Group, along with senior executives from Asyad Shipping.

The event signalled the vessel’s readiness for integration into the company’s operational fleet.

Built by Hanwha Ocean, one of the world’s leading shipbuilders, 'Bidbid' is equipped with advanced systems designed to purify exhaust gases, reduce carbon emissions and enhance fuel efficiency. The features reflect Asyad Shipping’s continued focus on environmental sustainability and compliance with international maritime standards. — ONA
