MUSCAT : Muscat Municipality has issued several requirements for the Eid Al Adha traditional market (traditional market), including the provision of a blue canopy and a ban on selling on the ground without one.
According to the requirements, vendors should prepare their stalls five days prior to the start of the habta market. The rules stipulate that non-Omani vendors should carry a valid work permit.
The municipality has banned the entry of mobile vendors’ cars into the marketplace. Livestock owners are required to adhere to their designated areas within the market and are not allowed to display their livestock outside the market or on roadsides. The municipality clarified that the call for sale is limited to local sheep, cattle and camels.
