

MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Abdel Fattah el Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt held a cordial meeting at Al Barakah Palace on Thursday.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed a number of regional issues and their political, economic, and security implications. They also exchanged views on ways to reach a final agreement to resolve the American-Iranian crisis through understanding, dialogue, and diplomatic channels.
President Abdel Fattah el Sisi arrived in Muscat on Thursday on a private fraternal visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik led the welcoming party for the President at the Royal Airport.
Alongside His Majesty, the President of Egypt was received by Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, Dr Hamed bin Said al Aufi, Head of the Private Office of His Majesty the Sultan, Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al Hinai, Ambassador-at-Large at the Foreign Ministry, and members of the Egyptian Embassy in Muscat.
President El Sisi and his accompanying delegation later in the evening left the Sultanate of Oman. His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik was at the forefront of those bidding farewell to him.
During the visit, President El Sisi was accompanied by Maj Gen Ahmed Ali Mohamed, Chief of the President's Office, Dr Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Counsellor Omar Marwan, Director of the President's Office, and Yasser Shaaban, Ambassador of Egypt to Oman. - ONA
