

Oman College of Management and Technology (OCMT) successfully launched the first day of the 2nd International Conference “Innovating for Impact: Smart Technologies and Sustainable Strategies in Design, Finance, and Computing (OCMT’2026)” on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, bringing together academics, researchers, and industry experts in a dynamic platform of knowledge exchange and innovation. The conference commenced with an engaging opening ceremony that featured welcome remarks, institutional highlights, and inspiring messages, including the Patron’s Address by His Excellency Sayyid Tariq bin Mahmood bin Ali Al Busaidi, Wali of Barka, emphasizing the importance of innovation and collaboration in driving national development. The event was further enriched by keynote presentations from distinguished speakers, including Dr. Abdulrahman Khalifa AlAbdulsalam from Sultan Qaboos University, who explored the future of coding in the era of artificial intelligence, and Dr. Ahmed Chiheb Ammari, who discussed the transformative role of cloud computing in shaping the AI landscape.
Following the opening sessions, the conference transitioned into a series of parallel sessions that spanned a wide range of contemporary themes, including intelligent technologies, secure systems, digital transformation, ethical business innovation, future-ready design, and AI applications in higher education.
