MUSCAT: A campaign codenamed 'Green', launched by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR), is gaining momentum as a public awareness drive across the governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.


Undertaken by the ministry’s Career Guidance and Student Counselling Centre, the campaign is implementing specialised awareness workshops targeting Grade 11 students with the aim of enhancing their knowledge about national trends in the green economy and employment opportunities related to future labour market needs.

The campaign, which seeks to build a generation aware of the requirements of the national labour market, elaborates on transition towards sustainability through three main themes: The first deals with raising the awareness of career guidance, the second theme focuses on raising the awareness of students about future employment opportunities and the third supports national trends towards achieving carbon neutrality in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.


The campaign, which targets 2,200 participants, is being implemented in two stages during the current school year. - ONA
