MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received a written message from Tarique Rahman, Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, pertaining to the bilateral relations between the two countries.


The message was handed over to Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, on Wednesday when he received Humayun Kabir, Adviser to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for Foreign Affairs.


During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. They also affirmed the joint keenness to enhance these relations in various spheres in a manner that serves mutual interests and the aspirations of the two countries’ peoples.


They also exchanged views on developments in the region and underscored the importance of backing efforts aimed at achieving peace and sustainable security and stability.


The meeting was attended by Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed al Hosni, Head of the Asia and Pacific Department at the Foreign Ministry, Rear Admiral Khondkar Misbah Ul Azim, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Sultanate of Oman, and several officials from both sides. - ONA
