Muscat: Nama Distribution and the Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR) have said that the disconnection of electricity supply service is the last resort, and no subscriber has been disconnected in the last five months

Dr. Mansour bin Talib Al-Hinai, chairman, APSR, said, "The regulatory frameworks of the authority protect the subscriber from service disconnection, and service disconnection is the last resort that the company takes to collect the amounts."

As for geopolitical tensions and the Gulf countries' reliance on desalination, the government had identified this challenger within the national water strategy."

The strategic projects included the construction of the Wadi Dyakah Dam, increasing storage capacities, working on storing water underground, and searching for additional groundwater sources for use in emergencies.
