MUSCAT: The Sultanate of Oman participated in the consultative ministerial meeting of the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, the Russian Federation, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, held on Monday via video conference.

The Sultanate of Oman was represented at the meeting by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister.

The ministers exchanged views on the regional and international developments related to the US-Israeli war on the Islamic Republic of Iran and its serious repercussions on the region, particularly the targeting of vital infrastructure across the region, as well as the increasing humanitarian impact of the war and its effect on the global economy due to disruptions in energy supplies and international shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

The ministers voiced their strong condemnation of all attacks and other repercussions resulting from the ongoing conflict. — ONA
