Her Highness the Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamed Al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman, has addressed a message of greetings to mothers in the Sultanate of Oman and around the world on the occasion of Mother’s Day, observed annually on the 21st of March.
The following is the text of her message: "It gives us great pleasure to offer our sincerest appreciation and deepest gratitude to every mother in this cherished land and across all corners of the globe on the occasion of Mother’s Day, which falls on the twenty-first of March each year.
This day should not be the sole occasion on which we reflect upon the patience, devotion, selflessness, sacrifice, and boundless giving of our noble mothers; rather, these sentiments must remain ever present in our hearts and upon our lips on every day of our lives. Mothers are the essence of existence and the blessing that enriches all lifetimes.
As we dwell in the gentle spirit of this blessed occasion, we pray to the Almighty Allah to bestow upon them happiness, long life and blessings in their endeavors; to protect them from all harm, to grant them every good, and to allow them to witness, sooner rather than later, the fruits of their sacrifices and their enduring generosity.”
