Vienna - A projectile hit the premises of Iran's Bushehr nuclear power plant on Tuesday evening, the UN's nuclear watchdog said.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said in a post on X that no damage to the plant or injuries to staff were reported by Iran.

IAEA chief Rafael Grossi renewed his call for "maximum restraint during the conflict to prevent risk of a nuclear accident," the post said.

Bushehr is Iran's only nuclear power station and is located around760 kilometers south of Tehran on the Gulf. Its Russian-designed reactor has been supplying electricity since 2011.
