Iran considers itself prepared for a prolonged war,the country's parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said in an interview published on Monday.
Ghalibaf told the Arab daily newspaper Al-Araby Al-Jadeed that the necessary measures had been taken based on the experience of past wars.
"We have sufficient stockpiles of missiles and drones, and since this technology was developed domestically, we are able to produce them ata higher speed and at considerably lower cost than the enemy can produce its interceptor missiles," Ghalibaf said.
A ceasefire must guarantee that the war does not flare up again, the parliamentary speaker said. Iran would continue fighting "until the enemy regrets its aggression" and stable political and security conditions had been established.
