MUSCAT: As part of engaging the community in the spirit of giving and in preparation for Eid Al Fitr, Knowledge Oman collaborated with Techno Plastic to launch the 'Eid Joy' initiative to support children battling cancer at the Sultan Qaboos University Hospital.

The humanitarian initiative aimed to spread joy among young patients and their families during the Eid season. Volunteers visited three hospital departments and distributed Eid gifts to more than 70 children undergoing treatment, along with their families. Gifts were also presented to parents in recognition of their patience and continuous support throughout their children’s treatment journey.

Students from the National University of Science and Technology also participated as volunteers, assisting in organising the visit and distributing gifts, demonstrating the important role youth play in supporting community initiatives.

The initiative further honoured healthcare professionals at the hospital with tokens of appreciation for their dedication and compassion in caring for the children. The 'Eid Joy' initiative reflects the power of collaboration, volunteerism and social responsibility in spreading hope and happiness among children and families facing difficult challenges.
