MUSCAT: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology reviewed the technical and economic objectives of investment road projects during a meeting aimed at expanding private sector participation in infrastructure development.

The session outlined mechanisms for submitting investment proposals and clarified participation requirements, enabling investors to explore opportunities in the road sector.

An open discussion was also held with participating companies to address inquiries related to the technical, financial and regulatory aspects of the projects.

The ministry said the initiatives form part of broader efforts to strengthen public-private partnerships and enhance transparency while creating an attractive and competitive investment environment.

These projects are expected to contribute to the development of the national road network, improve operational efficiency and provide alternative routes that shorten travel distances and facilitate smoother mobility for citizens and residents.
