Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Wednesday received telephone calls from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan, President Samia Suluhu Hassan of the United Republic of Tanzania and President Guy Parmelin of the Swiss Confederation.

The telephonic conversations dealt with exchanging views regarding the developments of the ongoing war in the region and the repercussions it imposes on the security and stability of nations and their peoples.

The leaders emphasized the necessity of addressing this crisis with wisdom and foresight through a ceasefire, de-escalation, and a return to dialogue and political and diplomatic solutions.
