KUWAIT - An 11-year-old girl from a resident family in Kuwait died from a wound she sustained from falling shrapnel in a residential area in the Capital Governorate, Ministry of Health spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said early Wednesday morning, the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

The victim received first aid before being rushed by ambulance to the casualty ward of Amir Hospital, where she was pronounced dead half an hour later, the minister noted in a press release.

Four members of the victim's family are under medical observation at the hospital, he added.
