MUSCAT: The latest weather maps indicate that the Sultanate of Oman will be affected by a trough of low pressure with cloud formation predicted over several governorates starting today Tuesday.

The low pressure system is expected to bring scattered light rain to Musandam Governorate, the Western Hajar Mountains, and the coasts of Dhofar Governorate.

Cloud formation is expected to continue on Wednesday and Thursday over the governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Muscat as well as the Hajar Mountains and the Arabian Sea coast with a chance of scattered rain.
