ABU DHABI -- The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority confirmed Saturday that the situation in the UAE is currently "under control," with competent authorities monitoring developments continuously around the clock.
The Emirates News Agency quoted the authority as saying, "We reassure everyone that the situation is under control and that all precautionary measures have been taken to ensure the safety of all." Earlier, the UAE Ministry of Defense reported that the country was subjected to an Iranian ballistic missile attack, which was successfully intercepted by UAE air defenses. The Emirates News Agency added that the authorities also dealt with falling debris in a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some material damage and the death of one individual of Asian nationality.

Kuwait reserves the right to defend itself after Iranian attacks, its foreign ministry said.

"Kuwait strongly condemns the brutal Iranian aggression that targeted the country on Saturday, in blatant violation of its sovereignty and international law, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement."

The service centre of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain has been subjected to a missile attack, the National Communication Centre of Bahrain said.  The public is urged to follow instructions issued by the relevant official authorities and to obtain information from official sources only.  A loud explosion has been reported from the United Arab Emirates Capital, Abu Dhabi, the Reuters news agency has reported.


Doha: Qatar National Emergency Alert called on the public to stay indoors in an emergency alert sent to all phones.

It activated the national warning mechanism, stating, "In the interest of public safety, we urge everyone to stay away from the premises of military sites, remain inside buildings or safe locations, and not go out or move around except in cases of extreme necessity, to avoid exposure to any risks."

 Jordanian government spokesperson said that Jordan is "not part of the conflict in the region and will not allow anyone to violate its sovereignty," adding that Jordan will not be involved in any regional escalation.

The Ministry of Defense (MoD) announced that the UAE today was subjected to a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles, noting that UAE air defence systems dealt with the missiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted several missiles. Authorities in the UAE also handled the fall of some missile debris in a residential area, which resulted in some material damage.

The fallen debris also resulted in the death of a civilian of an asian nationality. The authorities confirmed that the security situation in the UAE remains stable and that all concerned entities are monitoring developments around the clock.

The Ministry strongly condemned the attack, affirming the UAE’s categorical rejection of any targeting of civilian objects, facilities, and national institutions. It stressed that such acts constitute a dangerous escalation and a cowardly act that threatens the safety of civilians and undermines stability.

The Ministry further stated that the targeting represents a blatant violation of national sovereignty and international law, affirming that the UAE reserves its full right to respond to this escalation and to take all necessary measures to protect its territory, citizens and residents, and to safeguard its sovereignty, security and stability.

The Ministry affirmed its full readiness and preparedness to deal with any threats, stressing that all necessary measures are being taken to firmly confront any attempts to undermine the country’s security and stability. It added that the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors remains a top priority that cannot be compromised.
