Muscat: Active northern and northwesterly winds are expected to affect the northern governorates of the Sultanate of Oman starting Wednesday evening, February 25, and continue for several days.
According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the active winds will lead to a relative drop in temperatures across the affected areas.
The authority stated that sea conditions along the coasts of the Sultanate are expected to be moderate, with wave heights reaching up to 2.0 metres.
The active winds are also likely to raise dust and sand over desert and open areas, resulting in reduced horizontal visibility.
Residents are urged to exercise caution, particularly motorists and seafarers, and to stay updated through official weather advisories.
