Muscat: A new round of negotiations between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran will be held next Thursday in Geneva, Switzerland, as part of ongoing efforts to reach common understandings between the two sides.

Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, affirmed that the US-Iran negotiations to be hosted by Geneva next Thursday will be driven by positive efforts aimed at finalising an agreement between the parties. He underscored the importance of continuing constructive dialogue to achieve practical outcomes.

The talks had initially commenced in the Sultanate of Oman in early February and were later resumed in Geneva under Omani auspices. The discussions have made good progress in identifying shared objectives and relevant technical issues, reflecting Oman’s constructive role in supporting dialogue and promoting regional stability.
