Muscat: The Oman Creators Voluntary Team has announced the launch of the fifth edition of the Ihsan International Forum 2026, in strategic partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth. The announcement was made during a media briefing that highlighted the forum’s details, key themes and latest developments, in addition to unveiling the Ihsan Volunteering Competition accompanying the event.

Mustafa al Amri, Team Leader, stressed the vital role of the media in showcasing national and youth initiatives and promoting a culture of volunteerism at both local and international levels.

Dr Seham al Harthy, Executive President of the Forum, reviewed the forum’s journey since its inception in 2016 at the level of higher education institutions in the Sultanate of Oman, followed by its expansion across the Gulf and later the Arab world, leading up to its fifth edition under the theme: “Towards Effective Pioneering Community Initiatives.”

She emphasised that dedicating this edition to supporting the entrepreneurship sector reflects recognition of the role played by voluntary teams in enriching the sector with creative ideas and sustainable initiatives. She noted that the forum aims to institutionalise the culture of volunteer work, facilitate the exchange of expertise among Arab volunteers, and build communication networks and a database that enhance the sustainability of community action.

Nasser al Shukaili, Head of the Organising Committee, outlined the forum’s comprehensive organisational plan, noting that an integrated programme has been prepared covering the reception of Arab delegations at the airport, accommodation procedures, transportation arrangements and the organisation of tourism programmes, as well as the opening and closing ceremonies.

He explained that the organisational framework also includes providing accommodation for participating teams, committee members and Arab guests involved in judging and delivering workshops, in addition to transport, catering, hospitality gifts and recognition arrangements, ensuring a professional experience befitting the forum’s guests.

Mohammed al Rawahi, Head of the Media Committee, stated that the media plan for the fifth edition is based on an integrated strategy that includes design and publications, audio-visual coverage, live broadcasting and digital engagement across social media platforms.

He noted that the competition will be announced through an official online link with clear participation criteria, alongside continuous updates on deadlines and results via official platforms, calling on media outlets to closely follow the event and highlight success stories and qualifying projects.
