Lulu opens new hypermarket in Al Qurum

MUSCAT: Strengthening its retail footprint in the Sultanate of Oman, Lulu has opened a new hypermarket at Al Qurum Complex, Muscat, marking its 33rd store in Oman and underscoring the group’s sustained growth and expansion strategy in the country.


The new store was inaugurated by Ghalib bin Said al Maamari, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Commerce and Industry in the presence of Yusuff Ali M A, Chairman of LuLu Group, senior government officials and other dignitaries.


Spanning over 33,000 sq ft, the hypermarket is designed to offer a convenient and modern shopping experience. The store features a wide range of products across key categories, including fresh produce, groceries, frozen and dairy items, and household essentials.


Customers can choose from a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, including produce sourced from local farms, along with dedicated butchery and fishery sections offering quality meat and sustainably sourced seafood. The store is also equipped with self-checkout counters for hassle-free shopping, along with ample parking facilities.


“This new hypermarket enhances the shopping experience for customers while supporting local economic growth and creating more employment opportunities in the region.


As our 33rd store in Oman, it reflects LuLu Group’s continued commitment to the Sultanate’s progress. We are further strengthening our presence with six upcoming projects, including food sourcing and export hubs, to better serve our growing customer base,” said Yusuff Ali M A, Chairman of Lulu Group.

Also present on the occasion were Shabeer K A, Director of LuLu Hypermarkets Oman and Anwar Sadhath M A, Regional Director of LuLu Hypermarkets Oman, Ananth Ram, Director of Lulu International Holdings along with other senior officials.
