

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Education on Wednesday announced the results of the first semester of the General Education Diploma (GED) and its equivalent levels for the 2025/2026 academic year, following the approval by Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed al Shaibani, Minister of Education.
The success rate for the mainstream GED was 81.15 per cent while that of the private bilingual schools was 92.73 per cent.
The success rate of technical GED of the Royal Guard of Oman Technical College (bilingual) and the General Education Diploma and Islamic Studies was 100 per cent.
The General Education Diploma (Special Education) had a success rate of 89.13 per cent and the General Education Diploma (Vocational and Technical) 81.5 per cent.
The Minister of Education congratulated the successful students and their families, commending the efforts made by the administrative and teaching staff in schools. She emphasized that these results underscore the ministry’s commitment to enhancing education quality and creating a learning environment conducive to academic excellence.
The ministry explained that the results will be available starting today (Thursday) at 5:00 pm via SMS through the Omantel, Ooredoo, and Vodafone networks. Students can access the results by sending a text message with the exam seat number to 90200. The results will also be available later through the Sultanate of Oman’s educational portal.
