HM receives credentials of several Ambassadors

MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Tuesday received at Al Barakah Palace the credentials of several ambassadors of countries appointed to the Sultanate of Oman.


His Majesty accepted the credentials of Charles Kingston, Ambassador of Cindy Kiro, Governor-General of New Zealand to the Sultanate of Oman, Yevgeny Sobolevsky, Ambassador of President Aleksandr Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus to the Sultanate of Oman, Hoang Huu Anh, Ambassador of President Luong Cuong of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Sultanate of Oman, Miguel Porto Parga, Ambassador of President Miguel Díaz-Canel of the Republic of Cuba to the Sultanate of Oman, Kjersti Tromsdal, Ambassador of King Harald V of the Kingdom of Norway to the Sultanate of Oman, Miles Armitage, Ambassador of Sam Mostyn, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia to the Sultanate of Oman, Andy Rodriguez Duran, Ambassador of President Luis Abinader of the Dominican Republic to the Sultanate of Oman, Shebba Shumbayawonda, Ambassador of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, President of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the Sultanate of Oman, Pavel Kafka, Ambassador of President Petr Pavel of the Czech Republic to the Sultanate of Oman, Zuraidah bint Abdullah, Ambassador of President Tharman Shanmugaratnam of the Republic of Singapore to the Sultanate of Oman and Ekaterini Fafarioutou, Ambassador of President Konstantinos Tasoulas of the Hellenic Republic to the Sultanate of Oman.


During the audiences with His Majesty the Sultan, the ambassadors conveyed the greetings of their countries' leaders and their sincere wishes to His Majesty for continued success.

They also wished the Omani people further progress and prosperity under the wise leadership of His Majesty. They emphasised their dedication to strengthening the relations of partnership and cooperation between their respective countries and the Sultanate of Oman across various fields, contributing to the support of shared aspirations and mutual interests.


On his part, His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the ambassadors, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the leaders of their countries for their greetings and kind wishes. He assured them that they would receive all the support and assistance from His Majesty, the Government, and the Omani people, thereby facilitating their duties and the advancement of joint cooperation.


The credentials presentation ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, the Foreign Minister, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman, the Head of Royal Protocols and the Military Aides to His Majesty the Sultan. —ONA
