KUWAIT: The Sultanate of Oman is taking part in the 5th General Assembly of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) and the 2nd edition of the International Digital Cooperation Forum held concurrently in the State of Kuwait. Representatives of more than 60 countries are taking part in the meetings, which began on Wednesday.
Oman’s delegation is led by Dr Ali bin Amer al Shaithani, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology.
Themed “Inclusive Prosperity in the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI)”, the International Digital Cooperation Forum’s meeting is in pursuance of the DCO’s efforts to promote international cooperation and ensure that all countries and societies garner the gains of the digital revolution.
During the forum, the participants explore means of using AI and modern digital technologies to achieve sustainable and inclusive economic growth, in addition to minimising the digital divide between countries and ensuring the ethical and responsible use of technology.
