Here are the winners in the major categories at the 68th annual Grammy Awards, which were presented on Sunday in Los Angeles. The ceremony highlighted several historic and high-profile wins across genres.


Bad Bunny made history by winning Album of the Year for “Debi Tirar Mas Fotos”, marking the first time a Spanish-language album has received the top honour. He also won Best Música Urbana Album for the same record, along with Best Global Music Performance for “Eoo”.


Kendrick Lamar had one of the most successful nights, taking home five Grammys. He won Record of the Year for “luther”, a collaboration with SZA, as well as Best Rap Album for “GNX”. His track “Chains & Whips” with Clipse, featuring Pharrell Williams, won Best Rap Performance.

Billie Eilish earned Song of the Year for “Wildflower”, which she co-wrote with Finneas O’Connell. Olivia Dean was named Best New Artist, while Lola Young won Best Pop Solo Performance for “Messy”.


In the pop categories, Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande won Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Defying Gravity” and Lady Gaga took Best Pop Vocal Album for “Mayhem”. Doechii won Best Music Video for “Anxiety”.


Global music was also recognised, with “Caetano e Bethania Ao Vivo” by Caetano Veloso and Maria Bethania winning Best Global Music Album. The Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media went to “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters. — AFP
