

MUSCAT: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, received on Tuesday Dr Anikó Raisz, State Secretary for Environmental Affairs at the Ministry of Energy of Hungary.
During the meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperation in water resources management, climate change, pollution control and waste recycling. They also explored strengthening connectivity through expertise and knowledge exchange programmes and cooperation in international environmental forums, in addition to reviving several joint initiatives in this regard.
They further addressed the friendship and cooperation between the two countries across various political, economic and cultural fields. They commended the current level of coordination, the achievements realised, and the tangible convergence in the policies and directions of both nations in many areas.
The meeting was attended by Dr Abdullah bin Ali al Amri, Chairman of the Environment Authority, and Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah al Qatbi, Head of the International Organisations Department at the Foreign Ministry, and several officials. — ONA
