Muscat Gases suspends executive managers

MUSCAT: Muscat Gases Company SAOG said it has been instructed by Oman’s Public Prosecution to temporarily suspend a number of executive managers, pending investigation procedures, according to a disclosure to the Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX).


The company said the instruction was received in the last quarter of 2025 and will remain in effect “until further notice”. It did not specify how many executives were affected, their positions, or the subject of the investigations.


Publicly-listed Muscat Gases said its board has appointed interim acting managers from within the company to take over administrative and executive responsibilities to ensure business continuity and the regularity of operations.


The company said it is cooperating with the competent authorities and will update shareholders on any material developments or final outcomes once available, in line with regulatory disclosure requirements.


The disclosure, dated January 21, was signed by Eng Omar Ahmed Salim Qatan, chairman of the board.


Muscat Gases Company SAOG, the largest LPG bottling company in Oman, was established in 1983 in Muscat, to trade in Industrial gases and LPG.


Muscat gases has LPG storage capacity and 5 Bottling plants in Oman at — Al Rusayl, Al Wadi Al Kabir, Sur, Izki and Al Musannah.
