MUSCAT: The Ayn platform, affiliated with the Ministry of Information, has released four new audiobooks under Nizwa Magazine Books project.

The new release enhances Ayn platform’s efforts to provide intellectual and literary publications in audio format, expanding the audio library for a diverse audience seeking both knowledge and enjoyment. These releases are part of the audiobook project launched by the Ministry of Information in 2021 with the aim of reintroducing intellectual and creative works through a medium that relies on expressive reading and artistic production, giving texts a new presence and bringing them closer to the listener.

The books are: Conceptual Metaphor Studies authored by Dr Abdullah al Harasi, Chek’s Terrible Revenge and Other Stories from Contemporary Russian Literature, which was also published in the Nizwa Magazine Books project in 2017. The book is a collection of short stories translated from the Russian language by the Omani translator Ahmed Mohammed al Rahbi. The third book is entitled Challenges of the Green Economy: The Sultanate of Oman as a Model authored by Ali Sulaiman al Rawahi, which was published in 2020 in the Nizwa Magazine Books project. The fourth book titled It’s a High Wave by the writer and poet Khamis Qalam was published by the Nizwa Book series in 2020.
