CPA issues a warning on Drinkmate bottles

The Consumer Protection Authority (CAP) has issued an official warning on the use of carbonated beverage-making bottles of the brand bearing an expiry date from January to October 2026.

CPA cited non-compliance with approved specifications and standards, as they may pose a risk to the health and safety of users.

This action comes within the framework of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to protect consumers from unsafe products.

The reason for the warning is the potential for the bottle to explode during use, which may result in injury to consumers.

As part of the precautionary measures, the CPA has urged consumers to immediately cease using the affected product and to contact the company to replace the product free of charge.

CPA urged consumers to exercise caution when purchasing from online retail outlets and to ensure that goods comply with approved specifications and standards.
