Moanes al Siyabi shines at 12th Al Rahba Horse Race

Al Rahba Racecourse in Wilayat Barka hosted the 12th horse racing event organised by the Oman Equestrian Federation and Racing, represented by the Oman Horse Racing Club, in front of a strong crowd and amid intense competition. The spotlight was firmly on jockey Moanes bin Salem al Siyabi, who delivered an outstanding performance by securing a notable double victory in the opening races.


The race meeting consisted of eight races, including five for Purebred Arabians, two for Thoroughbreds, and one for locally bred horses, with all races reflecting high technical standards and closely fought competition.

The opening race, Jabal Shams, for Purebred Arabians over 1,200 metres, was won by Amaniyat al Faisal under the guidance of Moanes al Siyabi, while E H Ghida finished second and Jeff came in third. Al Siyabi continued his impressive form in the second race, Jabal Haat, also over 1,200 metres, steering Ghawash Al Shahania to first place ahead of Al Dastoor, with Reem Al Bawadi finishing third.


In the third race, Jabal Koor, for Thoroughbreds over 1,200 metres, Rouge Fox claimed victory, followed by Al Hajjaj in second place and Razeen Dubai in third. The fourth race, Jabal Al Akhdhar, over the same distance, saw Kalraad dominate to secure the top spot, ahead of Justic Protocol and Exact Order.


The fifth race, Jabal Hafeet, for locally bred Purebred Arabians over 1,600 metres, was won by Wahaj Al Wafi, with Al Shaham H2 finishing second and Boss Al Numan third. In the sixth race, Jabal Eteen, over 1,600 metres, Al Mudhafaar E S claimed first place, followed by Nebras and Baraq Muscat.


The seventh race, Jabal Musht, over 2,000 metres, was won by Emperor Lotus, ahead of AJS Antar and Cyrus de Ghazal. The meeting concluded with the eighth race, Jabal Samhan, over 2,000 metres, where Al Rabih claimed victory, followed by Abu Theila and Saint Maury.
