

MUSCAT: Al Bashayer Club moved one step closer to clinching the Oman Basketball League title for the 2025–2026 season after securing a well-deserved 89–54 victory over Nizwa Club, while Al Seeb maintained their grip on second place with a dominant 99–51 win over Salalah Club. The two matches were held at the auxiliary hall of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher as part of the final stage of the competition.
With these results, Al Bashayer raised their tally to 18 points at the top of the standings, followed by Al Seeb in second place with 16 points, Nizwa with 12 points, and Salalah remaining on 10 points.
Al Bashayer settle the Interior Derby
In the first match, Al Bashayer imposed full control over the Interior Derby against Nizwa, asserting their dominance throughout all four quarters thanks to disciplined defence and effective offensive execution.
Al Bashayer took an early advantage in the first quarter, leading 18–11, before extending the gap in the second quarter by scoring 31 points compared to 16 for Nizwa, ending the first half ahead 49–27.
Despite Nizwa showing some defensive improvement in the third quarter, Al Bashayer continued to dictate the pace, adding 16 points against 13, to close the third quarter at 65–40. The fourth quarter followed the same pattern, with Al Bashayer scoring 24 points to Nizwa’s 14, sealing the game 89–54.
Dominique Harris led Al Bashayer’s scoring with 27 points, followed by Bassam al Busaidy with 12 points and Said al Saadi with 11 points, while Abdulrahim al Battashi added 9 points. For Nizwa, Mulhim al Obaidani and Sulaiman al Hinai each scored 12 points, with Mohammed al Oqoudi contributing 10 points.
Al Seeb dominates Salalah
In the second match, Al Seeb delivered a commanding performance to reaffirm their hold on second place, cruising to a 99–51 victory over Salalah.
Al Seeb controlled the game from start to finish, ending the first quarter ahead 20–14, before tightening their zone defence and extending the lead in the second quarter with 27 points, while limiting Salalah to just 9, to reach halftime at 47–23.
Al Seeb maintained its dominance in the third quarter, combining organised offence with solid defence to score 33 points against 11, ending the quarter at 80–34. Despite Salalah’s improved effort in the final quarter, Al Seeb continued to score freely, adding 19 points compared to 17, to conclude the match 99–51.
Mamadou Badji led Al Seeb’s scorers with 18 points, while Amjad al Hadidi and Noah al Ameri each added 15 points. Rashid al Zuhaibi contributed 10 points, and Zakariya al Wahaibi chipped in with 7 points. For Salalah, Qaisar al Balushi scored 20 points, Mishal Kafkaf added 14, and Saeed Ahed finished with 12 points.
