Al Bashayer Club strengthened their position at the top of the Oman Basketball League (OBL) after recording a commanding 119–55 victory over Salalah, while Seeb Club continued their pursuit of the leaders with an emphatic 89–57 win over Nizwa. The two matches were played at the auxiliary hall of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher as part of the second round of the final stage of the 2025–26 season.
Following these results, Al Bashayer moved up to 16 points at the top of the standings, with Seeb in second on 14 points, Nizwa on 11 points and Salalah remaining on 9 points.
AL BASHAYER DOMINATE
Al Bashayer showed clear superiority from the opening minutes, imposing their rhythm through solid defence and fast transitions into attack to take a 35–18 lead at the end of the first quarter. They maintained their momentum in the second quarter with a variety of offensive options, closing the first half comfortably ahead at 58–31.
The same pattern continued after the break, as Al Bashayer added 33 points in the third quarter compared to 13 for Salalah to extend the lead to 91–44. They completed their dominant display in the final quarter, closing the game with a comprehensive 119–55 victory.
Noah al Mahrouqi led Al Bashayer’s scoring with an outstanding 39 points, while Saeed al Saadi added 24 points. Osama al Riyami and Hadeed Bait Bakheet each scored 12 points, and Mahmoud al Souli contributed 8 points.
For Salalah, Mohammed al Hooti top-scored with 24 points, followed by Ameer al Balushi with 9 points.
SEEB MAINTAIN PRESSURE
In the second game, Seeb produced a strong all-round performance to defeat Nizwa 89–57, asserting their technical superiority on both ends of the court.
Seeb took control early, leading 17–9 after the first quarter and extending their advantage to 37–24 by halftime. Their dominance continued in the third quarter, where they scored 27 points against Nizwa’s 16 to open up a 64–40 lead. They then comfortably closed out the match in the final quarter to seal the win.
Mamadou Badji and Abdulrahman al Shuaibi led Seeb’s scoring with 25 points each, while Rasheed al Zuhaibi added 11 points and Zakaria al Wahaibi scored 10.
For Nizwa, Kingly Nanandi led the way with 24 points, with Akram al Rashdi contributing 7 points.
