ABU DHABI: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, held fraternal consultations with His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sisterly United Arab Emirates, during their meeting in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, on Monday.

The consultations dealt with a number of developments and issues in the region and ways to address them in a manner that contributes to achieving consensus and approaches that strengthen the foundations of collective security and regional stability, safeguard the common interests of all parties, bring benefits to the countries of the region and fulfill the aspirations of their peoples.

They affirmed their commitment to the march of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and joint Gulf action and vowed to continue bilateral and collective cooperation programmes guided by the wise directives of the leaders of the GCC states. — ONA
