

MUSCAT: The number of guests staying in three- to five-star hotels in Oman rose by 10.9 per cent to 2,139,300 by the end of November 2025, compared with 1,929,495 during the same period last year, according to official statistics.
Data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information showed a 7 per cent increase in Omani guests to 791,286, while visitors from GCC countries grew by 7.4 per cent to 195,825. Guest numbers from other Arab countries declined slightly.
Visitors from Asia increased by 10 per cent to 305,460, while arrivals from Africa rose by 19.3 per cent to 13,246. Europe recorded a strong 23 per cent increase to 574,243 guests, while arrivals from the Americas climbed by 29.5 per cent to 69,697. Guests from Oceania surged by 35.5 per cent to 38,028.
Hotel revenues rose sharply by 21.4 per cent to RO 257.9 million by the end of November 2025, compared with RO 212.4 million a year earlier. Occupancy rates also increased to 55.4 per cent, up from 48.6 per cent.
