AL HAMRA: Maintenance and rehabilitation works have been completed on the Via Ferrata (W6) tourist climbing route in Jabal Shams through a community volunteer initiative supervised by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism. The works included replacing old supports with 48 stainless steel anchors, enhancing safety along the 120-metre suspended cable route overlooking Wadi Nakhr.

Mahmoud bin Nasser al Fahdi, an adventure technician, said the initiative used high-quality materials suitable for harsh mountainous environments, ensuring long-term safety and durability. — ONA
