HM gives audience to Saudi Foreign Minister

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Tuesday gave an audience to Prince Faisal bin Farhan al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at Al Barakah Palace.

Prince Faisal conveyed greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz al Saud of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also conveyed their best wishes of good health and wellbeing to His Majesty and further progress and prosperity for the Omani people.

On his turn, His Majesty the Sultan asked Prince Faisal to convey his heartfelt sentiments and best wishes of good health and wellbeing to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. His Majesty also wished the Saudi people further progress and prosperity.

The audience explored prospects for cooperation between the two countries in various fields in light of the meetings of the Omani-Saudi Coordination Council and its efforts aimed at strengthening the robustness of bilateral relations and consolidate shared interests. This is in pursuance of the directives of the two countries’ monarchs.

The Saudi minister highlighted a set of ongoing regional and international developments and the perspectives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia concerning them, while he listened to the views of His Majesty the Sultan on the matter.

The meeting was attended by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr Hamad bin Said al Aufi, Head of the Private Office and Ibrahim Saad Bishan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Sultanate of Oman.
