MUSCAT: Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman, has launched its inaugural flight to Copenhagen, Denmark, via Baghdad, Iraq, as part of its strategy to expand its international network.
The new service, operated under fifth freedom rights, marks the airline’s first direct entry into both Iraq and Denmark, highlighting its commitment to enhancing global connectivity and strengthening links between the Middle East and Europe.
Engineer Hamood al Alawi, Deputy CEO of Oman Air, said the new route reflects the airline’s focus on connecting communities, promoting cultural exchange and offering passengers a smooth and comfortable travel experience to new destinations. He noted that the service supports diplomatic and economic ties between Oman, Iraq and Europe, while contributing to regional cooperation and development.
