MUSCAT: The International Joint Conference on Ophthalmology Research, Medicine and Surgery, concluded here on Saturday.
Organised by the Medical City for Military and Security Services, the conference came up with several recommendations including enhancing early diagnosis and effective treatment of eye diseases, applying the findings of scientific research, and adopting modern medical technologies to ensure higher success rates in surgical procedures.
The conference stressed the importance of continuous training for ophthalmologists and technicians to upgrade their skills, promoting scientific research and international cooperation and raising community awareness of the importance of eye health care. It emphasised the need to develop health policies and update procedures related to eye care to ensure the provision of high-quality medical services to all society segments.
The conference witnessed specialised scientific sessions, high-quality lectures, and advanced workshops that discussed the latest scientific and research developments in the fields of ophthalmology and eye surgery. — ONA
