Al Bashayer Club continued their impressive run in Oman Basketball League 2025–26 season after securing a 91–51 victory over Nizwa Club. The match was held at the auxiliary hall of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher on Monday. With this win, Al Bashayer raised their tally to six points, remaining at the top of the standings with a game in hand over Seeb Club.
The match was played at a fast pace, with Al Bashayer asserting control from the opening minutes through strong defensive organisation, quick offensive transitions, and efficient shooting from different areas of the court. Several Al Bashayer players delivered standout performances, led by foreign professional Jmour Jorg, alongside Said al Saadi, Noah al Mahrouqi, Osama al Riyami, Ahmed al Halhali and Mahmoud al Souli. For Nizwa, the most notable performers were foreign professional Nikola Dakvis, his team-mate King Serry as well as Mohammed al Anqoudi and Basel al Subhi.
Al Bashayer made a strong start, applying high defensive pressure that disrupted Nizwa’s rhythm and forced turnovers, while capitalising on fast breaks. Despite Nizwa’s attempts to respond, Al Bashayer closed the quarter with a clear 24–13 advantage.
Al Bashayer maintained their dominance through effective ball movement and teamwork, exploiting defensive gaps to add 16 points. Nizwa relied on individual efforts to score 11 points, as the first half ended with Al Bashayer leading 40–24.
The third quarter saw Al Bashayer further extend their lead, mixing inside penetration with perimeter shooting. Their disciplined defence limited Nizwa to nine points, while Al Bashayer added 24, ending the quarter ahead at 64–33.
With a comfortable lead, Al Bashayer continued to control the game, allowing multiple players to contribute offensively. They scored 27 points, while Nizwa added 12, sealing a convincing 91–51 victory.
The match was officiated by an international refereeing crew led by Issam al Siyabi as the first referee, Rashid al Mushaifri as the second referee and Wafaa al Samari as the third referee. The scorers’ table included Maryam al Zadjali, Yaqoub al Nadhabi and Majid al Akhzami, with Younis al Zadjali serving as technical supervisor.
