MUSCAT: Defending champions Al Amerat continued their impressive and unbeaten run in the 2025/2026 Oman Beach Soccer League after securing a tough 2-1 victory over Masirah in the eighth round of league matches. The encounter which was played at the Sands Court of the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, highlighted Al Amerat’s tactical discipline as they once again delivered when it mattered most. The closely contested match began cautiously, with both sides focusing on defensive organisation in the opening set, which ended in a goalless draw. Al Amerat gradually increased the tempo in the second set and were rewarded through Oman national team player Khalid al Oraimi who broke the deadlock with a well-taken goal, giving his side a crucial advantage. Masirah responded with greater urgency in the final set, applying pressure in search of an equaliser. However, Al Amerat doubled their lead through Abdullah al Souti, strengthening their grip on the match. Masirah managed to pull one goal back late in the game through Yousef al Zadjali, setting up a tense finish, but the defending champions held firm to secure another valuable win and extend their unbeaten streak.

At the same venue, Al Oruba claimed a crucial 6-3 victory over Taqah, strengthening their position among the league’s top contenders. Al Oruba demonstrated composure and clinical finishing, capitalising on key chances to secure full points. The win reflected their consistent performances and reinforced their status as one of the most competitive sides in the league. Taqah, meanwhile, showed determination and attacking intent but struggled to contain Al Oruba’s forward momentum.
