MUSCAT: The fourth edition of the Young Leaders Program for Supreme Audit Institutions begins in Muscat and will run until December 12.

The State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority organises the programme, in cooperation with the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI).

The programme is part of the State Financial and Administrative Audit Authority’s commitment to hosting and delivering international events in the field of financial and administrative audit, and in support of knowledge exchange and global best practices.

The programme is considered one of the most prominent global initiatives aimed at empowering young leaders within Supreme Audit Institutions, launched by the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI). It seeks to drive positive change and development among the staff of audit institutions by equipping them with modern tools needed to enhance performance.

The programme includes a series of working sessions focused on developing leadership skills. These feature sessions on empowerment methodologies for achieving effective, accountable, and inclusive leadership; sessions on building collaboration with relevant stakeholders; and a dedicated session exploring future trends that may influence Supreme Audit Institutions, along with other related topics.

Hosting the fourth edition of the Young Leaders Programme reflects the Authority’s ongoing efforts to support development within the audit sector and to strengthen investment in young leadership. It also provides an important platform for exchanging experiences and enriching professional knowledge on a broad scale. — ONA
